Nik Mat has asked Barisan Nasional (BN) to wait for the opposition pactto take
over the federal government before their 100-day reform planunveiled at the
recent Pakatan Rakyat convention, can be implemented.
"We will implement it when Pakatan is able to rule the country. Just wait.Don''t
be like a gangster," he said after a mass wedding organised bythe state
government for 101 couples at the Kelantan PAS trainingcentre, here, today.
Nik Aziz, who is also Kelantan MenteriBesar, was responding to Deputy Prime
Minister Tan Sri MuhyidinYassin''s challenge yesterday for Opposition Leader
Datuk Seri AnwarIbrahim to raise the salary of civil servants in
opposition-ruledstates by RM500. Among the 10-point resolutions passed
at theconvention was to raise the salary of civil servants by RM500 within
100-days in the event the opposition pact could take over Putrajaya.
Nik Aziz said what was important in administering the country was ensuring
prosperity for the people.

He said PAS would implement Islamic administration according to its
ownmould based on stipulated Islamic rulings if it came into power.
On the mass wedding, Nik Aziz said he was against parents imposing
a bigamount of dowry on the bridegroom to make marrying affordable.
"WhenI got married, I only gave my wife RM100 in dowry. In fact, if
anyonewants to marry my daughter, I will only ask for RM1,000,"
he added.
Nik Aziz said marriage was important to prevent social ills such as illicit
sex and dumping of babies.
